Job description

Purpose of the Position: To assist business with the development, tracking, management and reporting on projects budgets and cost

Job requirements

Delivery of Projects

• Collaborate with Project Managers & Technical Teams on budget planning and submissions for projects

• Lead the collection and analysis of financial data for planned projects.

• Coordinate and assist with project audits & governance

• Provide input in the preparation of presentations for management review and approval.

• Coordinate any ad hoc and planned special project work as required

• Identify and assess financial risks associated with project and develop risk mitigation strategies

• Manage the reporting process for all projects:

• Monthly reporting to Finance

• Monthly reporting to Group Tech leaders

• Monthly reporting to business PMOs and Project Steercos

Stakeholder Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor on project budgets and costs.

• Partner closely with functional leaders to guide and assist in the formulation of project budgets and costs.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, to maintain alignment on project budgets and costs as well as provide support project teams.

Process Optimisation and Efficiencies

• Provide stakeholders with relevant best practices and recommendations to optimize their budgets in serving the strategic business objectives.

• Put measures into place to proactively identify and address potential financial issues that may impact the successful delivery of key projects.

Financial Management

• Preparation for financial forecasts and Budgets during the financial year

• Tracking project budgets, resources and costs

• Identifying any cost savings opportunities

• Building models and charts/graphs to illustrate technical reports and present data as financial and operational/strategic information and the management of these Dashboards

Qualifications

• Must have a BCom or equivalent qualification

Experience / Skills

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a credit control/cost management and

financial environment

• Strong analytical skills

• Knowledge of project finance

• Sound knowledge of project management

• Strong finance and administration skills

• Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications), advanced excel

• SAP/Synergy/Coupa experience would be advantageous
